Caradonna Dive Adventures, soon to celebrate its 25th Anniversary, was established in 1985 as Caradonna Caribbean Tours, operating scuba dive travel holidays throughout the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. Caradonna has always been the leader in the scuba dive and adventure travel market and the strength of our company brought us to the attention of First Choice Holidays, PLC (UK Company), a multi-billion dollar operator acquiring leading specialized travel providers throughout the world. First Choice was looking for a unique and specialized dive vacation company with an established infrastructure and strong financials to grow the dive market. It is no surprise that Caradonna, a debt free company for over twenty years, with a staff of avid divers and environmentalists, was purchased to add to their activity segment as one of their first U.S. acquisitions, and subsequently rebranded as Caradonna Dive Adventures.
In 2007, First Choice Holidays merged with TUI Travel PLC, one of the world's leading international leisure travel groups, operating in over 180 countries with more than 30 million customers in 25 source markets. Caradonna Dive Adventures has become their leading travel provider for the Scuba Diving industry, working with other prominent companies in the Marine Industry, such as the Moorings and Sunsail Sailing Companies. The acquisition afforded Caradonna the opportunity to expand worldwide, beyond our traditional Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico destinations by adding the Pacific, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. With our brand-alliances and acquisitions, Caradonna is North America's largest dive travel tour operator providing preferential access to the world's top diving destination.
Caradonna carries the largest choice of bulk airline agreements to assist our travel partners in profitable dive travel. We maintain preferred pricing with airlines, resorts and other accommodations, dive operations and live-aboard vessels for both groups and individuals. We also work directly with the smaller hotels and therefore have access to room availability that many mainstream operators do not provide. Our distribution network of North American dive shops, travel agents and consumers share our passion and work exclusively through our office for group, individual travel, special and event types of programs. We currently market over 300 hotels in over 37 destinations worldwide, with our strengths in the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, the Pacific and many other exotic destinations.
Caradonna's goal is to assist those travelers who look to explore, discover, experience, promote and protect this fascinating marine world now and for future generations. We work hand-in-hand with environmentally alert agencies such as the Reef Alliance and Beautiful Oceans. We train and develop, within the scuba industry, successful dive travel partners who share our values and we support them with resources, opportunities to earn commission and to take part in educational "fam" trips to the top diving destinations of the world.
For the best adventure travel, whether you choose to dive the world's reefs or snorkel calm bays, we can arrange your travel plans and compliment each vacation with adventure excursions and spa holiday packages that will guarantee more than a vacation or getaway, but also exceeds the expectations of the active traveler seeking above-the-ordinary experiences in the world's top destinations that are far beyond the every day!
Caradonna Dive Adventures is bonded by the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), which means travelers can book with confidence that their trip is insured up to $1,000,000 by a company which upholds the travel industry's highest standards.
